SAMOS ISLAND’S MOST BEAUTIFUL BEACHES

Samos island has many beaches, each with a different style to fit anyone’s taste and of course they all are mesmerizing. Most of the northern beaches are pebble beaches but there are also some sandy ones. We’ll start to name them from Karlovasi, taking a circular route from east to west.

First is the Potami beach, a medium sized pebble beach with deep, wavy waters, unprotected from the winds. Next, we have the big and small Seitani beaches with clean, deep waters. To get to big Seitani beach you follow a foot path leading first to the small Seitani beach. Heading southeast from Karlovasi there are two sandy beaches, Limnionas and Golden Sand, nestled inside a gulf, near Cambos, a little town worth visiting. Then comes the Votsalakia beach with crystal clear waters. Next is Balos where you can have a meal at the tavern nearby. The most popular (mainly sandy) coastline of the island lies from Pythagoreio to Ireon, full of beach bars, sun beds and umbrellas also offering guests a wide range of water sports. Most popular beaches ideal for families are the pebbled Mykali beach and Psili Ammos with its shallow waters. For those staying in Samos town, nearby beaches are Livadaki, Gagou and Kokkari (a great place for windsurfing), Lemonakia, Tsamadou and Tsabou (also know to be a nudist beach).

Try to visit every one of them to admire their individual beauty and crystal clear waters.
